Project Overview

To be successful in an already crowded grab and go marketplace, a new venture needs to be different – stand for something – able to combine substance and style – have real character.

The substance is the heritage of Compass Group. Formed in 1941 to help the war effort, the inspiration is Jack Bateman. The architect of a British success story and a man with a clear purpose – to feed productivity.

Added Character

With a renowned history from which to draw inspiration, there was only one way to progress Bateman’s and that was to focus on the very ‘Best of British’. Historic wartime factories were the inspiration for the interior design of Bateman & Co. Vintage metro tiles, packing crate cabinetry, industrial light fittings and furniture combine to create an authentic ambience.
